Pakistan avenge hockey thumping by India with drubbing of their own
Pakistan beat India 5-2 in the third-fourth place playoff match.

Pakistan avenged its earlier 2-5 round robin match defeat from India, after it reversed the scores during the third-fourth playoff match in the nine-a-side hockey International Super Series at the Perth Hockey Stadium in Australia on Sunday.
Pakistan had lost all of its round robin matches – losing the first one to Australia 4-2. The Greenshirts were then were defeated 4-2 by England before India thumped them 5-2 in the final round match.
Despite the disappointing round of matches, Pakistan finally managed to pull a victory in the tournament, managing to beat their arch-rivals 5-2.
Rashid Mehmood scored two goals for the victors in the in the match as Pakistan secured third place.
