The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan organised a lecture on breast cancer at its Regional Centre in Lahore on Monday.

According to a press release, Prof Fouzia Rana from the University of Florida delivered the lecture. She said the treatment of different kinds of breast cancer was possible, but it depended upon the timely diagnosis. She said all patients of breast cancer could not be treated alike. She urged women over 40 years of age to get their medical checkup regularly so that they could be aware of any changes.

Prof Gondal said revolutionary steps would have to be taken to eliminate cancer from the society. He said an awareness campaign against cancer should be launched at the tehsil and district level.
