Khyber Agency: Five killed, child injured in Jamrud

Investigations are underway but no arrests have been made as yet.

JAMRUD:
Five people were killed and a child was injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire at a vehicle in Malagori area of Jamrud, Khyber Agency on Saturday. A political administration official Shakeel Khan said that Momin Khan and other tribesmen were returning to Shagai after attending a jirga with officials of the Malagori political administration when they were ambushed and killed. A 10-year-old boy Rahat was also injured in the firing. Jamrud’s Assistant Political Agent Jehangir Azam Wazir said that the incident occurred over a personal dispute and case has been registered against unidentified gunmen. Those killed were identified as Momin Khan, Misal Khan, Waqas Khan, Imdad Khan and Ibrar Khan while Rahat was taken to a hospital in Peshawar. Investigations are underway but no arrests have been made as yet.
