Accident: Old house collapses, labourer hurt

ISLAMABAD:
A labourer was injured while tearing down an old house in the Satellite Town area on Friday morning. According to Rescue 1122, Hakimullah, 17, was shifted to Holy Family Hospital with head and back injuries at about 10:30am. The roof of a room caved in while Hakim was trying to break it down with a hammer. After he fell down, the rest of the roof collapsed on him, causing severe but non-fatal injuries. According to eyewitnesses, the house was old and the owner planned on demolishing it to build afresh. Doctors said Hakim was out of danger. Our correspondent (Photo: NNI)
