Excite Cup 2012: UET Taxila wins competition

Trophies and shields and cash prizes worth over Rs150,000 awarded to the winning teams.

The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Taxila was declared the winner of the two-day Excite Cup 2012 competitions which concluded at the Muhammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU) Islamabad campus on Thursday, said a press release. A total of 60 teams from 12 leading universities of Pakistan took part in the event, which were organised by MAJU’s Department of Computer Sciences. Participating students proved their mettle in on-spot programming, quizzes, gaming, poster designing and software project competitions. Trophies and shields and cash prizes worth over Rs150,000 were awarded to the winning teams.
