Security officials are on high alert across the country since the beginning of the holy month. However, several bomb blasts very close to imambargahs have posed a challenge to the security forces.

The country witnessed three bomb blasts near imambargahs on November 21, which killed 25 people.

Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attacks.
