Guru Nanak Birthday: 200 Sikh yatris arrive from UK
Some 4,000 Sikh pilgrims, including 3,000 from India, are expected to take part in the celebration this year.

As many as 200 Sikh pilgrims from the UK arrived at the Allama Iqbal International Airport on Wednesday to participate in the 576th birthday celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Gee from November 26 to November 28 at Gurdwara Janamasthan Nankana Sahib.
The first group of Sikh pilgrims led by Sardar Autar Singh Sanghera was received by the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) officials at the airport. Some 4,000 Sikh pilgrims, including 3,000 from India, are expected to take part in the celebration this year. They will also visit other places to perform religious rites during their sojourn in Pakistan, including Gurdwara Panja Sahib at Hassan Abdal, Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Lahore, Gurdwara Rohri Sahib in Hassan Abdal and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartar Pur. The pilgrims will return to their home countries on December 4. Sardar Autar Singh Sanghera told media he wished that Pakistan and India settle all outstanding issues through dialogue.
