LAHORE: While accepting the adjournment plea filed by the Federation’s counsel in the dual office case against President Asif Ali Zardari, the Lahore High Court (LHC) said on Wednesday that no reprieve will be given in the future, Express News reported.

Chief Justice Lahore High Court Umar Ata Bandial remarked that the hearing will be conducted on a daily basis and adjourned the hearing till December 5.

Petitioner Muneer Ahmad Khan had filed a petition against President Zardari for not disassociating himself from the political office and indulging in political activities in violation of the LHC order.

He had said directions issued by the court had not been followed and President Zardari continued ‘misusing’ the Presidency.

Khan had also stated that the use of the Presidency for partisan political activities by President Zardari was illegal and tantamount to committing contempt of the court’s orders.
