Committee puts captaincy ban on Raza
The committee puts a one-year captaincy ban on Hasan Raza for neglecting his duties during Zebras, Panthers match.
KARACHI:
The Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) inquiry committee led by secretary Ijaz Farooqui has cleared the match between Karachi Zebras and Peshawar Panthers in their Super Eight Twenty20 Cup from suspicions and fixing.
The committee has put a one-year captaincy ban on Hasan Raza for neglecting his duties during that match, which will bar him from leading any of the Karachi teams in domestic tournaments. “Raza has admitted his guilt of not being in the dug-out for 16 overs after getting dismissed,” Farooqui told The Express Tribune. It should be mentioned, the committee had previously cleared leg-spinner Danish Kaneria as well.
