3 Gazans killed in Israeli raid, raising toll to 85: Medics

The 3 were killed in Deir al-Balah and named as Amir Bashir, Tamal Bashir, Salah Bashir - all members of same family.

GAZA CITY:
An Israeli air strike early on Monday killed three Palestinians in a car in central Gaza, medics said, raising the toll to 85 as Israel's relentless air campaign entered its sixth day.

The three were killed in Deir al-Balah and named as Amir Bashir, Tamal Bashir, Salah Bashir - all members of the same family, medics said.

Medics also said a woman had died in an earlier strike on Gaza City's Zeitun neighbourhood, which they initially said had killed just three people. They named her as 20-year-old Saha Abu Zorr.

And medics said another man had been found dead in the northern town of Beit Lahiya, naming him as Abdel Rahman al-Atar, a 50-year-old farmer.

At least 10 children, five of them babies and toddlers, and six women were among those killed on Sunday, in attacks that came even as diplomatic efforts intensified to broker an end to the bloodshed which began on Wednesday.

The violence has also cost the lives of three Israelis and injured more than 50, according to medical sources.
