Pakistan had gone out of its way to help the earthquake victims in Iran: Iranian Consul General to Pakistan

Pakistan-Iran friendship is time-tested and seems to get stronger by each passing day, remarked Iranian Consul General to Pakistan Agha Abbas Abdul Hayee. Talking to reporters at circuit house in Larkana on Sunday, he said that Iran was the first to recognise Pakistan as an independent nation. He said that despite its own economic issues, Pakistan had gone out of its way to help the earthquake victims in Iran. Speaking on the occasion Advisor to Chief Minister of Sindh for relief Haleem Adil Shaikh said that Iran had stood by Pakistan through all the difficult times, be it natural calamities, war or electricity shortages. Earlier, Iranian diplomat visited the mausoleum of Bhuttos in Garhi Khuda Bux. Paying rich tribute to Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto he said that they sacrificed their lives for democracy and people of Pakistan.
