Radiotherapy: New centre opens in Benazirabad
The centre offers diagnostic services in addition to radiotherapy.

The Nuclear Medicine Oncology and Radiotherapy Institute Nawabshah (Norin) inaugurated a new centre in Shaheed Benazirabad on Saturday. The centre, which is the fifth such facility to be set up by Norin in Sindh, offers diagnostic services in addition to radiotherapy.”We also plan to establish a 50-bed hospital, a residential colony, a staff hostel and a training centre,” said Director Siraj Abbassi. He mentioned that the institute’s pharmacy will sell medicines at subsidised prices. According to the media representative, Tariq Rashid, the cost of constructing the centre, initially estimated at Rs465 million, was revised to Rs726 million. The president’s sister, MNA Azra Afzal Pechuho, was the chief guest.
