Trade Relations: D-8 summit set to begin on Nov 19

Summit of developing Muslim countries aims to discuss ways for strengthening business and trade relations.

ISLAMABAD: The summit of Developing 8 (D-8) Muslim countries is set to begin from November 19.

The summit aims to discuss ways for further strengthening business and trade relations with a major focus on Trade exhibition, promoting halal food, engineering and textile sectors, visa promotion facilitation and a Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) among the member states.

“The trade and business related activities will open here at Pak-China Friendship Centre,” a senior official of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) told APP.

Over 100 foreign companies and 40 local companies are to participate at the exhibition. The summit is organised by TDAP of ministry of commerce.
