Suspicion: Woman killed by husband
The police have registered a case against Pathan and are conducting raids to arrest him.
BAHAWALPUR:
The owner of a brick kiln allegedly killed his wife three days ago for allegedly having illicit relations with a man, police said.
They said he then threw her body along the roadside, which was seen by a passer-by three days later.
Sahja police said they wwere informed about a woman’s body lying on the roadside.
The woman was identifed as Zainab Bibi, 30, a resident of Mohallah Nizamabad in Khanpur. Police said she had been shot four times in the head.
Relatives said Zainab Bibi’s husband Shahzad Khan Pathan had suspected that she was having illicit relations with one Shahid. He took her to Sahja and fired four bullets into her head, they said.
