Water supply: WASA supplies only 35% households

HYDERABAD: Only 35 per cent of households are being supplied water by the Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa), said the organisation’s managing director, Saleemuddin Qureshi, while speaking to representatives of the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to him, the remaining households were either stealing water or obtaining it from some other source. Qureshi explained that a major factor affecting the organisation’s performance was that customers did not pay bills on time.
