Blasphemy charges: Man sentenced to death in Chitral
The police lodged a case under Sections 295 (a) (b) and (c) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
CHITRAL:
A man accused of blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was declared guilty and given a death sentence along with a fine of Rs100,000 by the Additional Sessions Judge in Chitral Azhar Ali Khan. According to the prosecutor, Hazrat Ali Shah said something blasphemous against the Prophet (PBUH) in his village of Barenis which was testified by many villagers. The police lodged a case under Sections 295 (a) (b) and (c) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
