Gas theft: PHC tells NAB, FIA to pursue culprits
The PHC took a suo motu notice of the issue in May 2012.

The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has given a green signal to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to jointly investigate and trace the culprits behind the illegal conversion of natural gas into Liquid Purified Gas (LPG). The PHC division bench headed by Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Irshad Qaisar was informed by NAB’s Investigation Expert Colonel Hussain Afridi that they have started investigations but require more time now so they can expand their search range. The PHC took a suo motu notice of the issue in May 2012 upon receiving information that some influential people have been involved in illegally converting natural gas into LPG and selling it in markets.
