Muharram moon sighted, Ashura on Nov 25

The moon of Muharramul Haram 1434 AD has been sighted in the country and the Ashura would fall on Sunday, November 25, Express News reported.
The moon sighting marks the beginning of a new Islamic year, which starts from November 16.

Cinemas, hotels, CD and music shops will remain closed in some parts of the country.
In Karachi, around 50 religious leaders and orators have been banned from entering some of city’s districts. These individuals have been asked to not attend any religious gathering or make any speeches during this period.
