Rimsha Masih’s case: IHC reserves judgement

IHC Chief Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman reserved the judgment after lawyers from both sides completed their arguments.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday reserved its verdict on a petition filed by Rimsha Masih seeking the cancellation of the First Information Report (FIR) against her.

IHC Chief Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman reserved the judgment after lawyers from both sides completed their arguments.


Rimsha, a 14-year-old Christian girl, was arrested from a slum in Islamabad on August 16 this year after a neighbour accused her of burning papers bearing verses from the Quran, a violation of Pakistan’s blasphemy laws.
