Crime and accident: One killed, six injured in Mansehra

Injured taken to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital.

A young boy was killed and six people injured in a road accident in Mansehra on Wednesday.


Police said that six members of a family were returning to Kewai village from Batgran village after attending a marriage ceremony when the driver lost control of the steering and the vehicle fell into a gorge.

As a result, four-year-old Bilal was killed and Samina Bibi, Muhammad Iqbal, Muhammad Idrees, Shafqat Hussain, Muhammad Ashfaq and the driver Bashir Ahmed were injured seriously.


The injured were taken to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital where three of them were stated to be in critical condition.

Teenager kidnapped

Meanwhile, a teenage boy was kidnapped from the limits of Dara village. Police quoted Ghulam Jilani as saying that his son Nisar Ahmed, 13, received a call on his cellphone and went out of the house on Tuesday evening. However, he did not return and his cellphone was also switched off.

The police registered a case and started search for the boy.
