Pakistan take touchball title as well
Hosts grab 12th gold in Punjab Sports Festival.

Pakistan increased its gold medal tally to 12 in the Punjab Sports Festival after beating Sri Lanka 5-4 in the final of the touchball event at the University of Lahore yesterday.
Pakistan won gold in fistball, baseball as well as ju-jitsu, where it grabbed eight gold medals.
Pakistan took the lead through Shahbaz, but Sirth Midugala levelled it straight away. Amjad Waseem restored Pakistan’s lead and then doubled it before Sri Lanka’s Akram Riffah managed to grab a point. Mazhar Iqbal extended the hosts’ lead before Dilshan moved Sri Lanka back within a point. Ramzan then levelled the score before Mohammad Aslam scored the all-important winning point to take his team to victory.
Earlier, Punjab Whites were held to a 1-1 draw by Mongolia in the football event and the final day of the festival will see Serbia and Yemen clash for the football title at the Punjab Stadium today.
