Assault: Kidnapped man’s body found in DI Khan
The unidentified kidnapers managed to escape.
DI KHAN:
The body of a man, Amanat Shah who was kidnapped along with a government contractor and two others, was found on the bank of the Chashma Right Bank Canal in Bhegwani in DI Khan on Tuesday. According to an official of Pahar Pur police, Pervaiz Ali and his three friends Ali Khan, Rustam Shah and Amanat Shah had been kidnapped last Wednesday by six armed men near the canal. The kidnappers tied and blindfolded Rustam and Amanat and threw them in the water, but kidnapped Pervaiz and Ali. Rustam managed to free himself after being thrown in the water and rushed to the police station to file an FIR. On Saturday, Pervaiz and Ali were recovered by Saddar Police when the kidnappers’ vehicle was asked to stop at a security check-post. The unidentified kidnapers managed to escape. On Monday, Amanat Shah’s body was found in the canal, his hands and feet tied with ropes. His body was shifted to the police station and investigations are underway.
