OIC ministerial meeting: Foreign minister Khar due in Djibouti
The meeting will review decisions taken at earlier meetings.

Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar will depart for Djibouti on Wednesday (today) to attend 39th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The meeting will review decisions taken at earlier meetings as well as the Fourth Extraordinary Summit held recently in Makkah. A Foreign Office spokesperson said the session will provide an opportunity for Pakistan and the Muslim world to reaffirm their solidarity with the people of Palestine and Jammu & Kashmir in the exercise of their right to self-determination. Khar will also address a meeting of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir. On the sidelines, the foreign minister will hold bilateral meetings with the participating foreign ministers and discuss issues of bilateral and mutual concern. Khar is expected to emphasise the need to develop synergies between OIC countries to expand economic cooperation.
