Recruitment later: PR temporary workers to be regularised first

Management has regularised 4,000 employees recently.

The management of Pakistan Railways (PR) has decided to regularise all temporary employees before starting its recruitment drive to induct fresh candidates, The Express Tribune has learnt.



This was decided at a meeting headed by Chief Personnel Officer Abdul Hamid Razi and attended by all divisional personnel officers on Monday at the PR headquarters.

All provincial superintendents and divisional personnel officers are directed to calculate vacancies first and then regularise officials working on current charge.

The management has regularised 4,000 employees recently, Razi added. Fresh recruitment will be made on remaining posts in BS-1 to 10.
