Anti Corruption Dept to submit comments
Petitioner accuses Anti-Corruption department of not taking any action on his application.
LAHORE:
Additional District & Sessions Judge (AD&SJ) Hamid Hussain sought comments from the director general of the Anti-Corruption Department for November 13 (today) on a contempt petition for not complying with court orders.
Petitioner Hafeez Masood submitted that Raja Abbas Ali was running an NGO, Association Network Community Empowerment, and was receiving money from people with promises of sending them abroad.
He said that for this purpose Ali had tagged some photographs of schools from the internet and was giving people the impression that he was running a school providing free education.
He told the court that on October 10 he had submitted an application to the Anti Corruption Department seeking action against Ali. He said the Anti Corruption Department had done nothing.
He said that he had then taken the matter to court and the court had directed the Anti Corruption Department to investigate Ali but the Department had still not budged.
