Doctors on strike: Hospital services remain suspended
Doctors will hold a meeting on Monday and may extend the strike to the entire province until Dr Aziz is recovered.

The strike being observed by the Provincial Doctors Association (PDA) for the release of their kidnapped colleague troubled patients at hospitals on Saturday. Senior registrar and neurosurgeon at Ayub Medical Complex, Dr Abdul Aziz, was kidnapped along with his driver on October 24. Apart from the emergency wards at the Hayatabad Medical Complex, Khyber Teaching Hospital and Lady Reading Hospital, services remained suspended in all other departments and patients were forced to seek medical assistance from private clinics. Some had to rush to the emergency wards for minor illnesses. Doctors will hold a meeting on Monday and may extend the strike to the entire province until Dr Aziz is recovered.
