"The defenders of the Islamic Republic will respond decisively to any form of encroachment by air, sea or on the ground," Fars news agency quoted General Massoud Jazayeri, a senior armed forces commander, as saying on Friday.
"If any foreign aircraft attempts to enter our airspace our armed forces will deal with them," he said. Jazayeri did not mention the drone incident specifically.
Pentagon officials said the unarmed drone was in international airspace when Iranian warplanes opened fire on it on November 1 but the aircraft was not hit. Washington has issued a formal protest to the Iranian authorities.

@HMM..: Dear HMM, Every country in the world has severe problems. The only difference is the degree of magnitude. You may be right in saying that Pakistan problems are worse than American, British, Rumanian, Chinese, Indian, Nepal and many others, but can you be sure? Even if you are correct does that justify certain countries attacking them? I think we should let countries with problems solve them on their own. If they need a little financial help so be it.
@tt Gosh! you ARE generous man.
As for the drone incident, i am sure it was too close to the Iranian airspace for the taste of Irani defense authorities to respond because none of the USA reports tend to mention exactly how far was this drone from irani air space, and more importantly, what path did this drone follow to be where it was when "it was attacked in the international airspace". I sometimes truly wish we Pakistanis were a nation too. We would have gather the dead bodies of up to a thousand loyal drones by now on our soil. lol
@Sexton Blake:Perhaps the Iran example of controlling its airspace, from drones, will tell the Pakistan Government what it should do? Pakistani current government can never even cerebrate about it so doing is so far because Pakistan has been badly the US' aid dependent country or in other words especially Pakistani current leaders have made Pakistan and its nation the US' aid dependent and always the beggars are never the choosers but the followers...... @tt:who will hunt millions of terrorists in pakistan? According to the your fake, false and supposed statistical figures about the terrorists you are considering almost every Pakistani a terrorist and unfortunately you have been badly badly badly victimized of Taliban-Phobia excessively, mentally and psychologically.Would you like to explain that who is providing the grounds/bases of spreading terrorism most especially importantly in Afghanistan and Pakistan and who has killed more and more innocent and sinless people than Taliban till now by adopting/using different resources, means and manifestations?????
@Sexton Blake: obviously there are lessons in it for Pakistan. but the important thing is to have an independent foreign policy and cut to US, UK and Arab Kings influence and interference into it's internal affairs.
..and here we protest, cry, beg, and let them continue.
