KARACHI:
The investigation of the attack on Rangers Headquarters located in Block B of North Nazimabad, Karachi, revealed on Friday that the truck used was operating on an open letter, Express News reported.

The police arrested half a dozen suspects for investigation.

The team investigating the terror bid obtained the record of ownership of the truck and found that the truck was leased out with the help of a local bank in 2005.

After that, it was sold and bought by several people. The investigative team has rounded up six people who had the ownership of that truck.

However, the team revealed that there was no report lodged regarding the truck being stolen.

Express News quoted sources as saying that Taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud was involved in the attack, who has been hiding in Karachi for the past one year.

The police also obtained CCTV footage of the truck, in which it is seen crashing into the Rangers Headquarters.
