Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif got some key demands of his province approved at the Council of Common Interest (CCI). It was at his request that the council agreed to withdraw 300 MW from the KESC’s share of 650 MW and put it back into the national grid. The council agreed to distribute the 300 MW among the provinces equitably.



At the meeting, Balochistan Chief Minister Aslam Raisani and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti supported the Punjab CM’s viewpoint.

Shahbaz said that all provinces had a constitutional right to receive electricity equitably.
