Muslim FC prevail in football league

Match in Chaman witnessed by over 15,000 people: PFF.

KARACHI:
Muslim FC recovered to beat KPT 2-1 in their ninth Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) match that, according to the Pakistan Football Federation, was watched by more than 15,000 spectators at the Government High School Ground in Chaman.

Sarmad put KPT ahead in the 28th minute but their joy was shortlived as Muslim FC hit back 10 minutes later with a strike from Asmatullah.

Atfer resumption, Muslim FC strengthened their grip with Hayatullah putting his side in the lead with a 55th-minute goal.

Elsewhere, Wapda notched up a commanding 3-0 victory over ZTBL at the Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad.


Both teams failed to score until the 30th minute before Waseem Abbas found an opening to give his side some breathing space as they went into half-time with a slight advantage.

Muhammad doubled Wapda’s lead, while Zainullah capped an impressive performance by scoring the team’s third in the 85th minute.

In another match, Ansar Abbas scored a brace with a goal in each half to help Army defeat Wohaib FC 2-0.
