Muharram arrangements: Admin to act against hate mongers
"Police contingents will provide security to every mourning procession and Majlis", says CPO Azhar Khokhar.

The city administration and the police have decided to take criminal action against speakers who make hate speeches and provoke anti-sectarian sentiments during Muharram. They said that action will also be taken against people who make wall chalking and affix banners promoting sectarian differences. Moreover, they said that speakers misusing loudspeakers during Majalis and other gathering during Muharram will be booked under the Amplifier Act. City Police Officer Azhar Khokhar said police contingents will provide security to every mourning procession and Majlis, adding that anyone found carrying firearms at the gatherings will be dealt with strictly.
