Feud: Four men shot dead

The bodies were sent to the district headquarters hospital for post-mortem examination.

HAFIZABAD: Four men, including a father and a son, were shot dead on Thursday over a rivalry in the Jalalpur Road area. Bhoon Rata police said that two groups had been fighting for 13 years.

They said on Thursday, Nazir Ahmed Bhoon, his son Ziagham and relatives Ikram and Muhammad Nawaz were on their way to their village when a car carrying four men hit the two motorcycles near Mamna Bridge.

As the motorcycles skidded off the road and the men fell down. They said the assailants showered them with bullets and fled away. Some residents of the area informed the police. District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Waqas Nazir visited the scene with his team.

The bodies were sent to the district headquarters hospital for post-mortem examination. The DPO said that since 1999, fourteen men had been killed in the rivalry. He said several people were arrested in this regard, but were later released on bail.
