Job security: Pakistan Steel Mills extends 27 permanent jobs
Employees receive grades matching their qualifications and will be paid accordingly.
KARACHI:
Pakistan Steel Mills has given regular status to 27 contract employees after Sindh High Court’s decision.
They had been working in the education department for ten years under contracts awarded by the mill’s Hadeed Welfare Trust.
The employees have now been posted in grades matching their qualifications and will be paid accordingly. The decision was taken on a high officials’ committee’s recommendations.
According to a spokesperson, a high level committee was also reviewing cases of the remaining employees working on contract.
