Says all institutions must respect each other and work within their own framework.
LONDON:
Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain had his say on the heated exchange of words between the army and judiciary, opining it has led to an unimaginable crisis in Pakistan.
In a statement issued by the party early on Thursday, Hussain sensing friction between the army and judiciary, stressed that the country, was in dire need of stability and unity.
“Highlighting mutual differences between the army and judiciary as rifts, in present circumstances, are not beneficial for the future of the country when they could otherwise easily be solved.”
The MQM chief added that Pakistan’s image cannot be tarnished to satisfy the ego and desires of an individual or individuals.
“All august state institutions must respect each other and work within their own framework,” Hussain advised.
