‘No Money To Spare’: Man beats up parents for refusing to give money

“My son lost his temper when I told him I didn’t have any money to spare,” says victim.

KABIRWALA:

Police are looking for a man who allegedly beat up his parents and broke their arms and legs. Karampur Jota police station house officer (SHO) said that Allah Ditta, 35, had asked his father Mehar Bashir, 70, for some money. When Bashir refused Allah Ditta tied him to a tree in the house and beat him up with a stick.

When his mother Zubaida tried to stop him, Allah Ditta hit her with the stick too. Neighbours heard the cries and entered the house after climbing one of the walls.

They said Allah Ditta who then fled.

The elderly couple was taken to hospital where doctors said Zubaida had suffered fractures to a leg and an arm. She also has bruises all over her body.

Bashir has bruises on his legs and abdomen and a broken arm. Bashir told the police that his son used to ask for money.

“My son lost his temper when I told him I didn’t have any money to spare,” he told the police.
