Fire: Woman burnt alive
"The fire erupted due to an accident while Akhtar was cooking in the kitchen", says Safdar.
ISLAMABAD:
A woman was burnt alive when her house in Faisal Town caught fire on Monday. Police said 40-year-old Parveen Akhtar was in the kitchen when suddenly the room caught fire.
Learning about the incident, her niece, Ayesha, informed the victim’s brother, Ghulam Safdar. The victim was shifted to DHQ Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Safdar told the police that the fire erupted due to an accident while Akhtar was cooking in the kitchen.
He said his sister had never complained to him as she was leading a happy life with her children. The victim has four daughters and her husband had died four years back, the police added.
