Candidates who plan on contesting elections from the national and provincial assembly constituencies in the city have started gearing up for elections. Banners and hoardings bearing the candidates’ photographs and parties have been displayed across Multan. These include PPP’s Ali Musa Gilani, PTI’s Shah Mehmood Qureshi and PML-N’s Abdul Ghaffar Dogar, who will be the major contenders for the NA-148 seat. NA-149 contesters include Malik Aamir Dogar, Tariq Rasheed, Makhdoom Javed HAshmi (PTI) and Liaquat Baloch (JI), NA-150 competitors include Mian Faisal Mukhtar and Rana Mehmoodul Hassan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi (PTI) while Abdul Qadir Gilani and Sikandar Hayat Bosan have started reaching out to the public for votes in NA-151.
