RAWALPINDI:
Due to new developments at international and national levels, Pakistan is faced with internal and external challenges and anti-state elements are active to destabilise the country, said Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) Major-General Obaidullah Khan.

Khan was addressing a ceremony held in the honour of families of FC Balochistan officers at Kohat. The ceremony was attended by families of around 400 dead and injured personnel.

The IGFC said the efforts to eliminate extremism and sectarianism in the country are underway.

“Great nations never forget the sacrifices rendered by their soldiers and learn from them,” he added.

While speaking to the families of the deceased soldiers, Khan said that they should not feel alone as FC Balochistan and people of Pakistan are with them.

He further said that the soldiers’ sacrifices will not go in vain and their ambitions will be fulfilled.

On this occasion, cheques were also distributed amongst the grieved families.
