Busted: Three suspects held, hashish seized

The two people in the car, Badsha Rehman and Abdullah, were taken into custody.

ISLAMABAD:
The Motorway Police arrested three people, recovered a stolen car and seized 10 kilograms of hashish in two operations on Monday. A press statement said that patrol officials came under fire after signalling a silver vehicle to stop for speeding. They chased the car down after it did not stop. They also arrested a suspect, Ajmal. His accomplice, Bostan, an Afghan national, managed to get away. In his preliminary statement, Ajmal said that they were driving a stolen car with a fake registration number. In another incident, Motorway Police stopped a Toyota Corolla. On inspection, they discovered that the petrol tank was stuffed with aluminium foil bags containing 10 kg of hashish. The two people in the car, Badsha Rehman and Abdullah, were taken into custody.
