5kg bomb defused in Nowshera
Police were preparing for arrival of cm when they saw man drop a bag on a road near Watarh and ran.
NOWSHERA:
A five kilogramme bomb on GT Road was defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) on Saturday.
SHO Mumtaz Khan of Nowshera Kalan police said that around 9am police were patrolling the road and preparing for the arrival of the chief minister when they saw a man drop a bag on a road near Watarh and ran.
Police cordoned off the area and the BDS defused it.
SHO Khan said that after the bomb was defused they re-opened traffic.
