Legacy celebrated: The Aga Khan’s 125th birth anniversary

Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah Aga Khan was 48th Imam of the Ismailis, grandfather of the present Prince Karim Aga Khan IV.

The 125th birth anniversary of Sir Sultan Muhammad Shah Aga Khan was celebrated at different places in Badin on Saturday. The Aga Khan Youth and Sports Board organised a ceremony at Talhar where the speakers highlighted the Aga Khan’s services during the Pakistan Movement. The Aga Khan was also the first president of the All India Muslim League and became the vice chancellor of Aligarh University in 1920. Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah Aga Khan was the 48th Imam of the Ismailis and the grandfather of the present Prince Karim Aga Khan IV.
