KESC survive scare in football league
Down Baloch FC 2-1; ZTBL record 3-0 win over Wohaib FC.
KARACHI:
KESC overcame anxious moments to pip Baloch FC 2-1 in their ninth Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) match at the Noshki Football Stadium.
A 40th-minute goal by striker Muhammad Rasool put the Karachi club in the lead before it was doubled by captain Muhammad Eisa.
However, Baloch FC found their opener through Muhammad Shahbaz as he struck in the 83rd minute, alarming KESC.
But. they were relieved as the game ended in their favour.
Elsewhere, ZTBL notched a comfortable 3-0 win against 10-man Wohaib FC at the Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad.
Abdul Samad gave the team a perfect start by opening the account in the sixth minute which was the only goal of the first-half.
Muhammad Naeem scored five minutes from time in the second-half. Hanif Khan found sealed victory for his team at the end. .
In another match, Hayatullah’s lone strike was enough to seal maximum points for Muslim FC against NBP at the Government High School ground in Chaman.
