‘Rivalry’: Watchman murdered
The body was sent to Allied Hospital for a postmortem examination.
FAISALABAD:
A watchman was found killed in Nishatabad on Monday. Police said Umar Iqbal Fauji, a resident of Chakwal, was living in a rented house in Nalka Kohala. They said on Monday morning, some neighbours noticed that the door of the house was open. They went in and found his body lying in a pool of blood. Police said his throat had been cut, probably in his sleep. The body was sent to Allied Hospital for a postmortem examination. The Nishatabad station house officer said that nothing was stolen from the house. He speculated that the deceased had been killed over an enmity. He said police were waiting to get a statement of someone from the family of the deceased.
