Case solved: An affair, not sectarian motive, behind policeman’s murder

The motive behind the murder of a policeman was not sectarian but a personal enmity, a top police official told The Express Tribune on Friday.
Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) Deputy-Inspector General of Police Ali Sher aid the police came to the conclusion using data obtained from the cellphone of Constable Mohammad Hussain, and the information retrieved from four suspects rounded up in connection with the murder case.
The official said Constable Hussain had developed some differences with his wife and wanted to marry another woman, over which he was killed.
Hussain, a resident of Skardu, was shot in the head by unidentified assailants at around 4pm in Jamaat Khana Bazaar. He was taken to the district headquarters hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
