Get the look: Beautifully festive
Amna Kardar looked drop dead gorgeous in the beautiful outfit.
Amna Kardar, owner of the House of AM – a brand of costume jewelry and bridal wear – looked drop dead gorgeous in this beautiful outfit at the black carpet for PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week 2012 in Lahore.
It was her sophisticated style of wearing a stunning mustard angarkha with a charming smile that had us gushing. Since it’s Eid and wedding season will soon follow, we thought we’d give you the break-down on how to get this look.
Hair
Without spending much time on her hair, Amna parted her wavy hair to one side and clipped it on a slant, close to her neck. For a do like hers, you can air-dry your hair, and use fancy pins to hold it on the side without any fuss.
Make-up
Simple is sexy, and Amna proves it well by wearing a sassy outfit with light make-up for the natural look. She enhanced her almond-eyes with a thick black liner and mascara. The nude-pink lipstick and blush she used gave her face a soft glow. For eyes like hers, use Mac’s crayon khol liner (Rs800) with Mac’s zoom lash mascara (Rs750); for the luscious pink lips, use Mac’s high tea lipstick (Rs1,000) and a soft pink blush also by Mac (Rs1,400).
Accessories
Being a fashion and jewelry designer, Amna sure knows how to accessorise! With her bright and shiny look, she chose to wear fiery red and gold tops and a wide-faced golden watch. She even carried a dull gold box clutch with a square clasp stylised with Swarovski crystals by Samia and Azmay Shahzada (Rs18,000). Make a trip to Accessorize and pick up tops and earrings for less than (Rs4,000) and for a cheaper clutch, check out a local shoe store (Rs3,000).
Outfit
Amna wore this breathtakingly beautiful sleeveless mustard Nida Azwer angarkha from her exclusive ‘Parinda’ collection. Her shirt is heavily embellished in silver kamdaani with lovely gota borders. The dull-golden block printed peacocks on the border stand out and complement the warm orange outfit. The end-trimmings were also done using a thin block printed strip and golden gota. And of course, no angarkha is complete without the dangling dori and mini pom-poms! If you have a creative side, you can definitely find a cheaper way to pull this off.
Shoes
Although we can’t see Amna’s shoes, a nice pair of golden heels would complete the look. Find a pair of comfortable sexy heels at Nine West (Rs5,000) and stand tall with this look!
