Getting better: Malala’s health is improving: Malik

Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Thursday said the health of Malala Yousafzai was improving in the UK.

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Thursday said the health of Malala Yousafzai was improving in the UK. Talking to Malala’s father Ziauddin Yousafzai and her other family members, the minister said that on the directions of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Malala was being treated in Britain. He thanked the British government, leadership of United Arab Emirates particularly Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zaid al nahyan, Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani for their efforts and cooperation to ensure the best medical treatment of Malala in the UK. Malik said the government of Pakistan was bearing all expenses for Malala’s treatment.  The minister said he is in constant touch with British doctors.
