Humaima was contesting against Indian actors Tanishtha Chatterjee, Parineeta Chopra, Rasike Dugal and Preeti Desai in the category.
Overwhelmed with the achievement, Humaima said, “I had no idea this role would earn so much recognition. It is an amazing honour to receive another award in a foreign land for a movie that is very close to my heart. I owe the entire team of Bol, Shoaib Mansoor and my family for this achievement.”
Humaima has also been nominated in the best actor category at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards, competing against India’s Vidya Balan.

Its a disgrace to the acting community! what a shame! who is conducting these awards? I certainly never heard of them before. The weakest link in the movie bol was acting of Humaima Malick. I think Manzar Sehbai, Shafqat Cheema, Mahira Khan and Iman Ali were simply awesome in the movie. The movie itself is outstanding specially coming out of Pakistani Cinema. But not Humaima. No way! She was horrible. It was mercurial directing by Shoaib Mansoor and splended acting by rest of cast that made Bol so successful. This girl Humaima, cant act, rest assured of that.
