Even though the player did not test positive for the substance, and was not subject to Cricket Australia’s (CA) formal drug policy, he did admit to the CA that the incident did occur and, hence ,was counselled for his actions.
Since then, there have been no further behavioural issues with the player and no other cricketer has tested positive for drugs either, according to ESPNcricinfo. “Cricket Australia confirmed today that no current Australian, State or Big Bash League player has tested positive or breached CA’s anti-doping or illicit drugs policies,” said the CA in a statement.
