Former first lady: Nusrat Bhutto’s death anniversary
Begum Nusrat died in Dubai on October 23, 2011 at the age of 82.

Tributes will be paid across the country to Begum Nusrat Bhutto on her first death anniversary which is being observed on October 23 (Tuesday). Begum Nusrat, former first lady of Pakistan and the mother of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, died in Dubai on October 23, 2011 at the age of 82. She was born in 1929 in Isfahan, Iran. Before immigrating to Pakistan, she was educated at the University of Isfahan. After returning to Pakistan in the late 1980s, she served two terms as a member of parliament from the constituency of Larkana. She has served as a cabinet member.
