Promoting fashion products: Labels, Barclays enter into partnership

Barclays will provide electronic payment solutions to Labels, enabling clients to make purchases online.

KARACHI:
Labels Garments & Accessories and Barclays Bank Pakistan have joined forces to promote Pakistan’s retail fashion industry following the launch of Labels e-store. According to a press release, the partnership will make Pakistani fashion products more accessible for local and foreign customers. Barclays will provide electronic payment solutions to Labels, enabling clients to make purchases online, along with joint marketing programmes and events. Speaking at a signing ceremony here earlier this month, Barclays CEO Shazad Dada said, “Consumers no longer shop from one channel. It is important that retailers respond by implementing an effective multi-channel strategy and by creating differentiated, customer-centric experiences.” Labels CEO Zahir Rahimtoola said, “e-store will bring new discipline, ideas and growth to our retail fashion industry, opening new doors for young designers to showcase their talent.”
